Silk & Stone: Wall Art & Art Furniture, April 1 through April 30, 2023

Arts Society of Kingston (ASK) - Spotlight Gallery, Broadway, Kingston, NY

Susan Angeles and Larry Godfried are Ulster County husband-and-wife artists who work in different mediums—wall art and art furniture.

They will be exhibiting jointly at the Arts Society of Kingston starting April 1, 2023.

Susan is a mixed media painter, and the “silk” refers to her technique of embedding silk and other textiles into her art work. Using an acrylic medium, she explores a variety of other materials including paper, crushed minerals and found objects to create textured paintings that range from figurative to abstract. (www.susanangelesart.com)

The “stone” refers to Larry Godfried’s long-time work in precast terrazzo as Terrazzo by Lorenzo. He designs and fabricates polished mineral mosaic art furniture that is inspired by jewelry design. He will be exhibiting works from his Furniture as Jewelry collection. (www.terrazzobylorenzo.com)

The show runs from April 1st through April 30th at the Arts Society of Kingston (ASK) Spotlight Gallery, 97 Broadway, Kingston, NY.

Gallery Hours:  Thursday through Sunday, 12noon to 5pm.
